There are many different styles and types of wedding gowns and it may seem overwhelming when you begin to shop for your gown. Different styles can help create a different look on your body and here are some great tips.
If you have a short, heavy figure: To look taller and slimmer a princess or A-line style in chiffon fabric works great to hide weight. Avoid knit fabrics.
If you have a short, thin figure: A natural style waist with a puffy skirt will produce a taller more rounded look. Chiffon, velvet, lace and netting are good fabric choices.
If you have a tall, heavy figure: Princess and A-line are the best for a slimming look. Satin, chiffon, and lace fabrics would work well.
If you have a tall, thin figure: Tiers or pickups will help with looking so tall and a natural waist is a good choice. Silk, satin and lace are good fabric choices.
Just remember that if you order your gown, make sure you are professionally measured for the correct size. It should arrive at least 6 weeks before the wedding to make sure their is time for alterations. Happy Shopping!
