Writing Your Invitations

There are so many rules about your wedding invitations. Here are a couple of things to keep in mind.

- If you are ordering your invitations make sure that you order them 6 months before the wedding to make sure they have time to be printed and sent in.

-It is not necessary to budget one per guest. A couple or a family receives just one.

-If you are getting married in a church or house of worship, use the phrase "We request the honor of your presence". Otherwise you can say "We request the pleasure of your company".

-On a formal invitation write out in the morning or in the evening instead of a.m and p.m.

-Spell out numbers like the fifth of June.

-Proofread a lot and by at least 2 or 3 people.

-Mail them out 4 to 6 weeks before the wedding.

-Square envelopes tend to cost more that rectangle.

-Also make sure your that your RSVP cards are big enough to not get rejected by the post office.

-Make sure you order enough extra envelopes in case you make mistakes addressing your envelopes.
