Choosing a Color Scheme

Choosing your wedding colors may be one of the easiest tasks you have or one of the hardest. The colors you choose will be reflective of the style of your event. The recommendation is that you choose two colors. You also want to choose 2 colors that compliment each other. What other things can you take into consideration?
1. You and your fiance's favorite colors
2. The colors that are already at the reception and ceremony sites. You do not necessarily have to use those colors, but you do not want your colors to clash either.
3. The time of day when the wedding takes place. Weddings during the day tend to have lighter colors than in the evening.
4. The time of the year when the wedding takes place. Spring and Summer weddings typically have light pastel colors. Fall weddings have more neutral colors, and Winter weddings feature dark, deep colors.
5. The formality of the wedding. Lighter colors convey informality and deeper colors tend to lend themselves to formality.
6. You also want to take into consideration the complexions of your bridesmaids. You want to choose a color dress that is most flattering to as many of your bridesmaids as possible.
