Welcome bags are a great way to let your out of town guests know that you appreciate them taking the time to come and share your day. It can be a nice surprise when they arrive at their hotel or accommodations.
You can use any kind of bag or container you would like. It could be a paper bag or even a beach bag if you are having a beach theme.

Phone numbers of bridal party or families of the bride and groom.
Local places to go and see with brochures and maps
Copy of the wedding times and details
A personal note from the 2 of you thanking them for coming.
Call and check with the hotels to see when the best time is to deliver the bags. You can even schedule some guest activities during the weekend of the wedding. This can be a casual get together, a meet up at a local restaurant, city tour or sports activity at the local park.
