Bridesmaid Dress Trends

You have let all your bridesmaids know they are going to be in your wedding. Now it is time to go dress shopping. Here are some of the trends you might be seeing.
  • Bows- They vary from neat ribbon sashes to appliques that are bold. Just that detail can make a simple dress wedding worthy.

  • Bateau Neckline- This neckline is a higher neckline that gives the dress a little sophistication.

  • Two Tone Color- It gives the dress a little more dimension so that they will have a more interesting look in pictures.
Whatever dress you and your bridesmaids pick out, there a few things to keep in mind. You will probably not be able to please all your bridesmaids with the dress. One thing to do is to have them give their input on your 3 top choices.

If you have out of town bridesmaids you should have them measured professionally and then when you order, make sure that you order them all from the same shop. If she orders from where she is, the dye lot that the dress is made out of could be slightly different.

You can even go virtual shopping with your bridesmaids. Use the websites that allow you to put dresses in a favorites section. Scan photos from magazines or take digital photos and email them

If your bridesmaids are going to be paying for their own dresses, try to give them a heads up with a price range that you are looking in.

You will want to make sure that you select and order the dresses with plenty of time for them to come in and be altered if needed. Ordering 3 to 6 months before the wedding is good timeline.
