The wedding toast
Wedding toasts are definitely an integral part of the wedding reception. I have been to weddings where the toasts are great, and one in particular where the toast from the best man will forever be ingrained in my mind. Needless to say any reference to the wedding night is not an appropriate part of the toast.
Traditional Order of the Toasts:
*Father of the bride
*Groom
*Bride
*Father of the groom
*Bridesmaids/matron of honor
*Best Man
Toasting tips:
1.Toast should be no more than 4 minutes long
2.Don't drink too much before you give your toast
3.It is acceptable to toast with non-alcoholic drinks
4.Don't joke at the expense of others or use jokes that only a few would understand
A health to you
A wealth to you
And the best that life can give to you
May fortune still be kind to you
And hapiness be true to you
And life be long and good to you
Is the toast of all your friends to you
